David Irvin Houck grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Even after 30 years in Los Angeles, he likes to maintain his Midwestern values which include a strong work ethic and community involvement. He supports youth in underserved neighborhoods of Los Angeles through Friends Of Golf and sits on the board of a local high school. In his free time, he enjoys a round of golf, sailing, skiing, tennis and church involvement.
David founded Houck Construction Incorporated more than 20 years ago and has chosen highly qualified and skilled colleagues to join his family-oriented company. Houck Construction is a Design-Build Firm and David plays an active role in the Design of many of the Projects we are involved with.
We have had the privilege of working with renowned architects and designers, including Barton Phelps, FAIA, William Hablinski, AIA, Michael Berman, and Frank Pennino, enables David to create high-end environments from Armani and the Long Beach Aquarium to multi-million dollar estates in Rolling Hills and Bel Air.
In addition to a multitude of Residential Projects, David and Houck Construction has been involved with a wide variety of Commercial Projects throughout the years, from Design through Construction. Some of the most recognizable are the Long Beach Aquarium, UCLA Medical Offices, Armani, and work within Westfield Mall. He has been published in Town and Country, Luxury Home, and Architectural Digest. From Cycle “Spinning” Houses and Gyms to high-end Restaurants, David has the background and technical expertise that the most discerning client is looking for. His Restaurant portfolio includes La Couchette, The Parlor, Here Bar, Comme Ca, Larder Bakery, Tavern, a.o.c. Wine Bar and Dan Tana’s.
