Joe Henderson

Joe is a Project Superintendent and has been with Houck for a year.  Being a superintendent is one of the most challenging and rewarding things he’s ever done as the constant surprises keep him on his toes! Navigating the building process with time constraints, safety, building code, vendor relationships, customer expectations and his need for quality in a timely manner is quite daunting.  Everyday is a joy and he loves to learn new things and the constant evolution of materials and methodology are exciting to him. In his free time, he loves growing food in his garden.  He finds a ton of joy in cooking something that he grew.  There’s nothing like the joy of making memories of cooking in the kitchen with his kids and spouse.

When Joe was 10, his father would have him help on job sites. He grew up with tools in his hands. Everything from hardwood floors, cabinetry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and tile are just some of the many things he’s learned along the way. Extremely mechanically inclined and always up for a good challenge, he spent a lot of his career doing work in the residential work and then made a change to the commercial market.  He’s had such an amazing experience building restaurants, shared coworking spaces, and even a brewery. He loves the design-build segment the most! The joy of taking the customers’ vision and making it come true is so rewarding!
