With more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim brings a deep understanding of the building process, paired with a steady, solutions-driven approach to every project.

What Jim values most about Houck is the family-oriented culture and the ongoing challenge his role provides. He thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working alongside a team that takes pride in their work, their relationships, and the moments they share especially at Houck’s company gatherings.

Outside of work, Jim is an avid sports fan who can often be found cheering on his favorite soccer team or exploring dirt roads on off-road adventures with his ADV riding group. He’s always up for discovering new food trucks and never says no to trying something new.

Jim’s career path combines hands-on field experience with technical expertise. He attended college abroad before returning to the U.S. to complete trade school coursework as a Network Analyst and Programmer Analyst. His professional background includes working in Military Housing as a Superintendent with Balfour Beatty and collaborating with NAHB Builder 20 member C&C Partners.

Jim began his career as a framer in 1999, advanced to Assistant Superintendent in 2000, and has continued to grow and lead in the industry ever since. Above all, he is a proud father of two sons, who remain his greatest inspiration.
