David Leonard

Senior Estimator

With decades of experience in both the field and pre-construction, David Leonard brings a rare depth of knowledge to his role as Senior Estimator at Houck. He began his career in construction at just 14 years old, working under the mentorship of a master carpenter who instilled in him a strong commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and client satisfaction.

David’s background spans nearly every trade, giving him an edge in the estimating process. He understands firsthand how projects are built from the ground up and approaches each estimate with practical insight, technical accuracy, and a strategic eye for value engineering.

Throughout his career, David has led estimating teams, supported land acquisition efforts, and trained emerging talent in the industry. His priority is always clear: protect the client’s interests while delivering estimates that are thoughtful, thorough, and grounded in real-world construction knowledge.
