Gene came to Los Angeles in late 70s as a refugee from former Soviet Union. In a few years he got admitted to USC. While attending college he began selling and developing real estate. He developed numerous condominium and apartment communities consisting of over 3,000 units, retail projects of over 200,000 square feet and over 70 educational and multi-use facilities. He volunteered for a non-profit organization to successfully settle thousands of refugee families to the US. For that work he was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Young People of the World (TOYP) by Junior Chamber International and appeared on Oprah Winfrey show. Gene’s hobbies include playing soccer & beach volleyball, skiing and hiking. He is an entrepreneur and innovator and really appreciates entrepreneurial spirit, high quality designs and innovative use of products and technology at Houck. He is enrolled in Presidents and Key Executive MBA program at Pepperdine with completion scheduled in 2019.
