Our Team

Cristiano Ruy

Cris is all about the B’s. There are at least four B’s that have leading roles in Cris’s past and present.

He’s from Brazil. He came to the United States to study and play Basketball. He graduated college with a degree in Business Management, and works in sales and Business Development for Houck.

Cris has fostered a personal work philosophy that involves another B – “There is no victory without a Battle.” He finds great joy in all aspects of his role at Houck Construction, particularly the part that involves meeting people and developing relationships.

Greta Tso

Project Design Manager

Greta was born in New Haven where her father was graduating from Yale University with an Architecture degree. She grew up fully immersed in design, art, architecture and construction by her designer parents. It wasn’t a surprise when she continued her studies and career as a design professional as soon as she graduated High School.

Later she took a hiatus from work to obtain a degree in Architecture while studying at Sci Arc and abroad where she received several scholarships and awards. She loves and continues being part of the design and building process as well as working with the diverse team of professionals and projects at Houck.

In her free time she enjoys other creative outlets designing, go figure… as well as playing sports, making time with her amazing friends, family and dog Enzo.

Julia Hanna

When Julia was a child, she assisted her parents with their hobbies of cabinet making and dressmaking. It was then that her affection for design and project management was born. After being educated in Europe, she worked in interior, home and fashion design, both in Europe and the United States.

For more than a decade she has worked on high-end residential construction design development, on-site supervision and project management. She has been an invaluable team member at Houck for several years and keeps her projects moving with enthusiasm and a warm “can do” attitude.

When Julia is not working she is feeds her creativity with travel.

Raymon Parry

Project Manager

Construction is in Ray’s blood. It was the family business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he grew up. His father and uncle were custom home developers. Job sites were Ray’s playgrounds. At age 14, he realized custom residential construction was his calling and he learned carpentry. He’s been at it ever since.

Ray eventually moved to Los Angeles to continue his career as a residential custom builder. He says his work, as a Project Manager at Houck, is not unlike another fine-tuned team effort, “If subcontractors are the instruments, then I’m the conductor who directs the orchestra.” He speaks like a man who enjoys his day. Ray is still a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan, happily married and a proud father of a beautiful daughter.

Juan

Juan has been building “stuff” since he was in high school. Nails, hammers, wood – all objects of delight for a man who loves his work. His passion for carpentry began in his neighbor’s workshop where he spent endless hours on his carpentry homework, and helping others with theirs. Eventually, Juan turned his hobby into a career, starting out as a union carpentry apprentice, and now a valuable asset at Houck. He finds great joy in his work as a craftsman, and being part of a team that builds something together.

Susan Patterson

COO Houck Construction

Susan begins her day “up before the masses.” She can’t wait to jump into the work she’s loved for over 25 years – the construction industry.

Her passion for building started in middle school when she chose wood shop instead of home economics. She didn’t realize it at the time, but a spark from that experience would help shape her long-standing career. The combination of creativity and problem solving makes construction ideal for Susan.

Experience with high-end new construction of single-family homes, as well as multifamily complexes, large track home subdivisions, and remodeling has given Susan a unique perspective on the inevitable challenges that come with construction. As COO, she is dedicated to providing clients with a process that reduces those challenges and delivers the best project possible.

Kelly

Project Manager

Kelly knew construction was his heart’s desire as early as high school. His decades-long passion for building things has provided the skills needed for all phases of construction. He is an expert in the three “F’s” – foundation, framing and finish carpentry, and has been with Houck Construction sine the beginning. He was David’s first employee, starting as a carpenter, then field superintendent and now works as a project manager.

Kelly loves a challenge, and remodeling can have plenty of them. His strong suits are troubleshooting and problem solving. He gets a thrill from working with high-end products and finishes, and his attention to detail is extraordinary. His love for building doesn’t stop when he goes home. He tinkers on his house and works on muscle cars. His wife and daughters keep him healthy with family hiking trips.
Our team is diversified, talented and full of character! Their collaborative spirit and commitment to achieving the goals of our clients are the foundation by which we do our work.
